Why Choose SRO?
SRO just completed its 28th season of musical instruction under the leadership of Executive Director Mark Mutter. SRO's Board of Directors is committed to overseeing the health of the program, and guiding the school into the future. Parent volunteers mobilize to organize various events and activities throughout the year. The collaboration of these groups, all dedicated to the vision of the school, creates a unified organization which fully supports the growth of our students.
The faculty of SRO are lifelong musicians and educators. They each have at minimum a Bachelors degree, and the majority hold a Masters degree or Doctorate. Additionally, they are all registered members of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, and are committed to continuous training in their field. When you observe our teachers, whether in private lessons or the group environment, you will quickly sense their love of music and dedication to the principle that Every Child Can.
At SRO you will find families like your own, who place a high value on time together and on the enriching value of the arts. Whatever stage you are in of your musical journey, you will find someone else who has either been there, or is there with you now! We are also committed to sharing with the larger community through our service and performance opportunities. Families often enjoy outside experiences together through attending institutes and camps, or participating in one of our local youth orchestras.
As you make choices for your child's education, you can be confident that SRO provides the highest value for your investment. With our tuition your family receives private instruction and group classes, as well as opportunities for both solo recitals and group performances throughout the year. SRO also has unique opportunities for music theory, chamber music and orchestra programs, as well as our world-class tour group. These experiences are not commonly found in other programs.
